3/8/2017 Mr. Edwards Class (Working on Projects)

In 2017 the 8th grade language arts classes of Loren Edwards and Heidi Bonnema had the opportunity to work with Reb Roberts, a well-regarded folk artist and gallery owner. The student created the original poems inspired by well-known art from history and made original sculptural pieces to compliment the poem. The artwork was made from a variety of materials to bring out the vision of the students’ interpretation of both the painting and their own poem. The final product was on display in the middle school hallway and some of the pieces will be entered into the county art show. Reb Roberts, visiting artist, was supported by a Maxwell T. Hamilton Grant.
