Daisy Brook Classes - 2005-2006 - Mrs. Llewellyn 4th Grade Class - Poetry Cafe

In Mrs. Llewellyn’s 4th grade class we had a Poetry Café and the theme was “Beatnik Style”. To be a beatnik you had to wear a lot of jewelry, wear dark colors, and a beret. We had very creative poems and a cool stool. To top it off we had French music playing in the background. For a snack we had hot cocoa and cookies. We had tablecloths and candles on the tables. We snapped our fingers instead of clapping after someone read their poem. Our class wrote lots of poems; Some of the poems were Haiku, Couplet, Two-Word, Alphabet , Shape and lots of other types. We had a wonderful time!
