The girls beat Newaygo in the district final on Saturday 3-0 to clinch the district title. Bethany Bacheller scored the first goal 8 minutes into the match off an assist from Katie Chandonnet. Newaygo had been called for a push about 30 yards out so we recieved a set play. Katie chipped the ball up to Bethany who headed it in for the first score of the match. The second goal came 10 minutes later. Gabe Lounsbery found Bacheller again inside the 18. Bacheller turned quickly on the ball and placed it low and in the opposite corner. The score was 2-0 at halftime. The third and final goal of the match was scored by Taylor Moon. Chandonnet worked her way into the middle of the field, sent it over to Moon, who struck it hard, low, and in the corner. We outshot Newaygo 20-0 and Megan Schuiteman recieved her 11th shutout of the season. We are now 12-7-1.
